This vintage late 1930s to early 1940's dressing gown by Ardele was made from a stunning deep sapphire blue rayon satin that has the glossiest feel and delectable sheen that is sure to satisfy the senses. Bias cut with large puffed leg of mutton sleeves to give the perfect princess aesthetic. This gown features elaborate silver threaded floral embroidery that adorns the entire bodice, giving a highly elegant contrast to the deep blue hue. Sleek and formal in its presentation, with a long skirt that falls to the ankle in the front while trailing behind you in the back thanks to the elongated train. This robe wraps to close with a single button snap at the waist and accompanying sash tie. An incredibly exquisite piece.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
